Hello my lovelies!
Hope everyone had a good weekend- mine was fairly standard. Except of course, that I am in gorgeous Phuket with sun and nature. Contrary to the popular song however, I actually am in paradise and loving every day of it!
Saturday was interval training with James. He had me running sprints up a street and then walking up and down with a medicine ball. Squats with jumps, and some boxing to finish us off. It was a beautiful way to start and end my Saturday training. I was proper wrecked after we were done and SO ready for the beach. Nai Harn calling! No beach photos this time my sweets- don’t want to bore you with too many of those. I believe you get the idea.
After the workout and some quality beach time, my Saturday night consisted of some pretty amazing Sushi in Fuji restaurant in Central Festival. Highly recommend! Then it was time for some Liam Neeson in The Grey. Sent shivers up and down my spine! Except it wasn’t from the cold, or air-conditioning as we went First-Class in VIP cinema with blankets and complimentary popcorn. Nice one! Chill Saturday means no headache or regrets come Sunday morning so after a lovely pancake and fruit plate breakfast I am ready for a different beach today. Kata beach was PACKED! Haven’t seen that many tourists in one place since my last trip to Pattaya. I think I prefer Nai Harn beach to Kata but it had to be seen and experienced. It never ceases to amaze me what you can purchase from the beach vendors. Sarongs, sunglasses and bathing suits make sense-obviously. The more colorful items include Dr Dre Beats headphones, alligator skin wallets, wooden arts and crafts in the shape of elephants to hold fruit, place mats… The Thai’s impress me on a daily basis.
Tonight’s dinner was special. About ten of us went to Palau fish and seafood restaurant for our weekly “cheat meals” and just enjoyed great food (rack of lamb anyone?) in some great company. The atmosphere is truly spectacular and so what if the staff doesn’t really speak English? It only adds to the ambience!
After a heavy meal and a tuk tuk ride back to the camp I’ve got some digestive peppermint tea brewing, Michael Bublé on the iTunes and planning my training week ahead. Folding my hand wraps, picking out workout gear, planning the optimal trainings and meals. All part of a Sunday night here at Tiger.
Hope you all have an inspiring, motivated and amazing week my lovelies! You can be happy anywhere with anyone, but you can also be unhappy anywhere, even in the best place in the world. When choosing your perspective today, make sure it works for you! Peace and love! <3
